Tsipras desperate for more party members

Greece’s former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is on a crusade to recruit new members for SYRIZA, the main opposition party.

Tsipras is scheduled to tour the prefectures of Kozani, Florina and Grevena in Northern Greece on Wednesday and Thursday, in the context of the party's broadening call for new members.

Today, the former Prime Minister will speak at the Grevena city's cultural centre at 11:30am, while at 7:30pm he will attend an open meeting at the Pontian Cultural Center in Kozani city.

On Thursday, he will meet with the rectors of the University of Western Macedonia at 10:00am, while at 11:30am he will visit the municipality of Servia-Velvendos near Kozani.

Tsipras is expected to then visit the Xino Nero bottled water company in Florina, before speaking at an open event discussing the party's broadening call at the Florina City Hall events room at 6:00pm.
