Thessaloniki’s International Art Fair becomes Southeast Europe’s most important artistic event

The fourth annual Art Thessaloniki’s International Contemporary Art Fair is set to take place from the 21st to the 24th of November 2019 and has already become the most important artistic event in Southeast Europe, attracting thousands of international visitors from all over the world.

The popular art exhibition is known as an international event showcasing various works of art including artistic items, art pictures, and much more.

Exhibitors from the most important galleries in Greece and around the globe gather to take a close look at some modern artwork that has been created by some of the world’s leading artists.

For the fourth time, the Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair will be adorning the International Fair of Thessaloniki under the auspices of the ministries of Culture and the Interior (Macedonia-Thrace), the administrative district of Central Macedonia, the municipality of Thessaloniki and a numerous bodies of the city placing Thessaloniki on the map of international art events.

Art lovers in Macedonia's largest city will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Unexpected Dialogue” Picasso & Jankulovski, which includes ceramic works by Pablo Picasso paintings by Mice Jankulovski.

*Greek American actor Billy Zane

This year's honored artist is Greek American actor Billy Zane, who was born in Chicago and still maintains a strong connection with his Greek heritage.

Zane studied at the Harand Camp of the Theater of Arts at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin and at a very young age he discovered his love not only for acting but also for painting. Zane has appeared in many famous films, including Back to the Future (1985) and Titanic (1997).

Two other very important presentations this year will be pieces from Mr. N. Vernikos Collection of artworks from the famous artist Dennis Oppenheim (1938-2011) Mr. Papadimitriou Collection  24 artworks of a collection of 80’s artists. Collection STARLETS, artworks for cinema from artist G. Vakirtzis.
