The Red Hot Chilli Peppers have announced they will return to European stages in 2020 and the famous four-piece band is confirmed to headline the Ejekt Festival in Athens on June 5!

The organisers of the Ejekt Festival in Athens revealed that the Red Hot Chilli Peppers will perform at what is expected to be a sell-out concert in the summer of 2020.

The band’s first and only appearance in Greece was in Athens in 2012, and now Greek fans are able to see the group perform on stage again before they head to Firenze Rocks in Florence on June 13, and they will then make their way across to the Netherlands where they will headline the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers have released 11 albums since 1984 and to date, their sales have exceeded 80 million dollars worldwide.

Last year, the band —Anthony Kiedis, Chad Smith, Josh Klinghoffer and, Flea — announced they had commenced working on the follow-up to 2016's 'The Getaway'.

Additionally, guitarist Klinghoffer, under the pseudonym of Pluralone, will release his debut solo album 'To Be One With You' on November 22. It will feature appearances by Flea and former Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam drummer Jack Iron.

The band is known for its edgy music style, which primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on funk, as well as elements from other genres such as punk rock and psychedelic rock. Their popular tracks performed live on stage with Kiedis' incredible energy is set to become one of Athens’ most anticipated musical events in the Greek capital for 2020!

Tickets go on sale on November 21, 2019, at 12pm and all details can be found here: ejekt.gr
