Foreign Affairs Minister to visit Skopje over EU membership

Greece’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will visit North Macedonia today, Tuesday, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Fragogiannis, to meet with the country’s state and political leadership.

According to government sources the talks will will focus on bilateral relations, North Macedonia’s European perspective, and regional issues of shared interest, but more importantly about its European membership prospects following the recent shock decision by the EU to cease membership talks with Albania and North Macedonia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs will be received by the President of North Macedonia, S. Pendarovski, and Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, and he will have talks with his counterpart, Nikola Dimitrov.

Dendias is also expected to meet with Greek entrepreneurs active in North Macedonia.
