The city of Trikala has officially lit up Greece's tallest natural Christmas tree for 2019, in the centre of the town.
Thousands of locals turned up to the heart of the town on Sunday evening and enjoyed the spectacular illumination of Greece's tallest natural Christmas tree.
The 33-metre-tall natural Christmas tree is located at Iroon Polytechniou Square and it features lights, garlands, and a bright star, while the rest of the park has also been decorated with Christmas ornaments.
Trikalas’ Mayor Dimitris Papastergiou was there to celebrate and wished everyone a blessed and Merry Christmas.
Trikala is also getting ready to open the door to the 9th Mill of the Elves Christmas event, which is Greece’s largest Christmas theme park, which is expected to draw more than 1 million visitors between now and January 6, 2020.
