Athens is one of the best places to be during Christmas time, as it’s not that touristy, not extremely cold and holiday events take place all around the city.

At the same time, cafes and bars in the Greek capital are so nicely decorated they immediately get everyone into the festive spirit.

*Divine decor at Noel

Noel

Of course, it’s the first one on the list! Here, Christmas lasts all year long; it’s beautifully decorated in retro-vintage style, the music is lovely-mostly swing and jazz- and the menu is excellent. Noel is ideal for early coffee and breakfast right through to late wining and dining. The atmosphere is wonderful and honestly, it’s the best place to be during the festive season. But make sure to book well in advance, as this spot is usually full day and night.
