Mitsotakis and Netanyahu

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, had a telephone conversation on Saturday afternoon to discuss security issues in light of the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Specifically, both leaders analysed the security situation following Turkey’s co-operation agreement with Libya and the challenges of Ankara in the wider region.

The telephone conversation follows that of Netanyahu with President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades on Friday, where the Israeli Prime Minister condemned the unlawful memorandum of understanding signed between Turkey and Libya, and urged Israel, Cyprus and Greece to proceed immediately with the signing of an agreement concerning the EastMed pipeline.
