Three Turkish jets violated Greek airspace in the afternoon of Christmas Eve, over the islet of Rho, located in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, close to the Turkish coast.
The violations occurred between 3:34pm and 4:23pm, during the time when Deputy Defence Minister Alkiviadis Stefanis was visiting the area.
The airplanes refrained from harassing the Chinook helicopter he flew in with.
This comes as there had been an unofficial moratorium for such intrusions during the Christmas holidays, however Turkey chose to disregard it.
