Blasphemous poster of Jesus circulates in Nafplio

Event organisers of a Christmas party in the name of “Blasphemy” in the Greek city of Nafplio, have circulated a poster of Jesus Christ wearing lipstick and earrings.

Public condemnation of the poster has been swift with many people on social media expressing their disgust at the provocative initiative which sought to deliberately offend the community's religious sentiment in what is meant to be a period of spiritual contemplation and celebration.

“We are celebrating the 2019th birthday of the person who brought a message of love and peace to the world – inviting all sinners to partake in the celebration” announced the ‘progressive’ organisers who own the bar “Hedgehog’’ where the party is to take place.
