A number of protestors from left-wing organisations and political parties along with Palestinian nationals living in Greece staged a protest on Tuesday outside the Israeli embassy in Athens.
The protestors shouted slogans in support of the Palestinian cause and against Israel President Benjamin Netanyahu whom they called a ‘murderer’.
The protest was triggered by the East Med pipeline agreement signed by Greece, Israel, and Cyprus on the same day in Athens.
The protestors called the East Med “a shameful agreement aimed solely at strengthening the US and Israeli position in the wider region and energy exploitation by US, Israeli and European energy monopolies”.
