After meeting with Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis, SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras told reporters that he is "concerned about developments not the climate", referring to Greek-Turkish relations.
Mitsotakis met with Tsipras to brief him on the contacts and results of his trip to the US.
At the same time he noted that the climate of their meeting was "normal". When asked by a reporter if the current President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopios Pavlopoulos is likely to be re-elected, Tsipras replied that it would depend on "intraparty reactions" to the ruling party.
The conversation between the two politicians was relaxed, they exchanged wishes for a good year and Tsipras gave Mitsotakis advice on how to overcome the jet lag. "Drink lots of water and exercise," he was recorded saying in front of the cameras.
The Greek PM will also be meeting with other political party leaders to discuss matters of national significance .
