Members of anarchist group 'Rouvikonas', scattered flyers and wrote slogans on the walls of the Australian Ambassador to Greece, Arthur Spyrou's home in Psychiko, reacting to the fires that have been affecting Australia for nearly two months.
Later, they posted about their 'protest' on athens.indymedia.org, stating that "at a time when the planet already has a negative sustainability balance, an unprecedented fire destroys everything living over 40 million square meters of land in Australia. Once again the sun has darkened in Oceania."
"If we do not defend our country, no one will. The more the monster of capitalism develops, the more necessary the struggle for land and freedom will be," the post concluded.
At this stage no arrests have been made by police.
