The crew of a Turkish Coast Guard vessel has been accused of pushing a boat full of refugees into Greek waters instead of rescuing them and returning them to the Turkish shore.
The accusation comes after video footage emerged of the incident, which was captured by one of the Syrian refugees from his mobile phone.
In the footage, broadcast by Greek TV channel Antenna, the Turkish coast guard is seen clearly hitting the refugees and then deserting them, after creating waves that push the boat away from the Turkish shore into Greek waters.
