Greece cyber-attacked again

Greek government websites were the target of hackers once again on Thursday following a similar assault by Turkish hackers last Friday.

Among the websites currently subject to the Denial-Of-Service cyber attack include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Finance Ministry as well as emergency services including Police and Fire Brigade.

Government spokesperson Stelios Petsas confirmed the news saying that a DoS attack was launched against government sites and these attacks have resulted “in many sites not working” adding that measures have been taken and the sites had been restored.

At the time of publication, GCT can confirm that at last the Ministry of Foreign Affairs site ( was still not working.
