By 4 years ago

As Australia continues to grapple with the enormity of the bushfire crisis, Delphi Bank together with Bendigo Bank's bushfire appeal with the Salvation Army Australia, has raised over $27.8 million and counting.

Jim Sarris, The General Manager Bendigo Specialised Banking and Delphi Bank, released a message about the Bushfire Appeal: "It's devastating to have to begin the new year and new decade with such heartbreak, however during this time, we are reminded of the strength and generosity of our community. We continue to be inspired by those fighting the fires every day, and those who are supporting them by donating their time, money and in any other way they can."

Delphi Bank also launched an appeal with FoodBank Australia, using their 15 branches across VIC, NSW, SA and QLD, as collection points for non-perishable food and toiletry donations. FoodBank has been appointed as the primary organisation to support food relief efforts in the bushfire impacted regions across Australia.

"We thank our family, friends, customers and community for their generosity, and we keep the nation in hearts and minds," Jim Sarris' message concluded.

Delphi Bank is now focussing their efforts on getting 100% of the funds from 130,000 individual donors, out to the communities in need with their community partners.
