Ministers visits Cyprus, Montenegro and Croatia

The Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry released a statement concerning the trips Foreign Affairs Minister, Nikos Dendias will be making today to Montenegro and Croatia.

According the statement, Dendias will travel to Montenegro's capital Podgorica, followed by a visit to the Croatian capital Zagreb today, Wednesday, 29 January, to meet with the political and state leadership of both countries and the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs.

During his visit to Montenegro, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will be received by the country’s President, M. Dukanovic, and Prime Minister, D. Markovic. He will then meet with his counterpart, S. Darmanovic, and with the President of Parliament, I. Brajovic.

During his visit to Croatia, which holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union this semester, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, G. Radman.

Talks will focus on bilateral cooperation and European and regional issues, with emphasis on the European perspective of the Western Balkans and the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Meanwhile Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kostas Vlasis is in Cyprus from the 28th to 30th of January, 2020.

During his stay, Mr. Vlasis will be received by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, and will meet with the President of the House of Representatives, Demetris Syllouris, Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides, and his counterpart Fotis Fotiou.

The Deputy Minister will also meet with Greek community organisations and visit the Imprisoned Graves, the Makedonitissa Tomb military cemetery, and the Hellenic Force in Cyprus (ELDYK).
