Stefania Liberakakis to represent Greece at Eurovision 2020

Greek broadcaster ERT has announced that Greek-Dutch singer Stefania Liberakakis, will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, which will be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Stefania's song for Eurovision 2020 has not been released yet but is titled ‘Superg!rl’.

“OMG FINALLY I can confirm the rumours that have been going around for a while now: YESSS I will proudly represent my country GREECE in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam!! It's so crazy to realize that this dream has actually come true!! Many thanks to ERT for giving me this opportunity! I hope to make my fellow Έλληνες and also all Nederlanders so proud! I will go for it 100% and I will not let you down!!” Stefania posted on her Instagram.

‘Superg!rl’ is the song creation by composer group Arcade together with well-known Eurovision veteran Dimitris Kontopoulos, who has composed a number of Eurovision hits including 'Scream' (Russia 2019), 'You Are the Only One' (Russia 2016) and 'Hold Me' (Azerbaijan 2013). The lyrics are written by Sharon Vaughn.

Stefania Liberakakis, 17, was born in Utrecht, the Netherlands, to a Greek family. She rose to fame in 2014 when she competed in The Voice Kids (the Netherlands), where she reached the Battle round.

She is no stranger to the Eurovision scene, as she represented the Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest as part of the group 'Kisses', where they finished in 8th place.

In 2018, the young singer released her first solo single 'Stupid Reasons'.

At the 2019 MAD Video Music Awards, she performed 'Con Calma' alongside Konnie Metaxa and Ilenia Williams.
