An interactive seminar which aims to bring young, inspiring Hellenes together to strengthen connectedness and transform tomorrow’s community, is being held in Melbourne, Australia, and will take place on Tuesday 11th February 2020.

The event which is being held to connect all youth committees and all projects in Melbourne, aims to understand the stigmas associated with the young diaspora.

A broad range of concepts and thoughts are going to be discussed including:

  1. Battling Stigmas
  2.  Ensuring continuity
  3. Connecting inter-generationally
  4. Creatively enacting change

Organisers of the event Vasilios Berbatakis and Dean Kotsianis note that what makes this event different to others is that they are looking to “excite, create and innovate together as we look to unearth the current paradigms that we have become complacent with so that we can tap into a realm of unthought of possibilities.”

They are going to focus on new and unthought of ways that the Greek scene can revolutionise itself in the world of εξωτερικούς, so that themselves and others don't completely assimilate into their home nations and lose their identity and εθνικότητα of being Greek!

The panel of 4 youth leaders include John Leventis, Olympia Nelson, Tass Sgardelis and Chris Karkanis who have a diverse experience from the NUGAS scene to being a business lead.

At the summit, Vasilios and Dean will also reveal a technological advancement that will show the community what exactly can be done when we all work together.

“We want to use Melbourne and Australia for that matter as a leader in inspiring the greater world of Hellenes with projects that we can come together to work on,” Vasilios added.
