A known newspaper publisher was targeted by a group of assailants, after his car was detonated at the crossroad of Ayia Varvara and Vyronos streets in Athens on Tuesday night according to a news report by iefhmerida.gr.
The assailants who were on a motorbike, smashed windows of the publisher’s car parked outside the taverna “Finikes” and threw into it an explosive device.
The target, newspaper publisher Nikos Karamanlis was dining at the time with company in the taverna when the attack took place.
It must be noted that Karamanlis, who runs NK Media Group was the target again back in 2017 when a grenade was found outside his residence.
Police are continuing their investigations.
