Mr Roses, a.k.a. James Stevens, is the Greek-Australian entrepreneur responsible for creating a global roses brand that has everybody, including Ellen DeGeneres, talking.
James' father was born in Kalymnos and his mother was born in Leros.
They arrived from Greece to Australia in the 1950’s and opened a flower shop in Sydney’s Town Hall train station, thus beginning James’ lifetime love affair with beautiful flowers.
In 1995, James founded Roses Only, a business that has since grown to become a household name across Singapore, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Indonesia and also delivering to a grand total of 48 states across the United States.
Starting a new chapter, James founded his new brand Mr Roses in Australia just this year.
“I am proud to be back, delivering roses in Australia,” says James of his new brand Mr Roses. “My first Valentine’s Day in six years!”

James still resides in Sydney with his wife Helen and their two children, Peter who is studying commerce engineering at UNSW and Marie Claire who is in her final year of high school
Helen’s island of ancestry is Kythera and, true to their Greek heritage, when James and Helen travel back to Greece with the family it is the islands of their origin Kalymnos, Leros and Kythera that still hold a huge place in their heart.
More recently they also loved their time with the family on the stunning Cycladic island of Sifnos.
