The stunningly beautiful Greek island of Zakynthos was among Tripadvisor’s top 25 trending destinations for last year.
Tripadvisor is the world’s largest travel platform. Travellers use the site and app to browse 859 million reviews and opinions of 8.6 million accommodations, restaurants, experiences, airlines and cruises.
“The Trending and Emerging Destination winners are based on the feedback and growing interest from travellers on Tripadvisor, and are therefore fantastic sources of inspiration and planning for discovering somewhere new,” Tripadvisor Vice President Neela Pal stated.
The top 10 Global Trending Destinations are:

- Porto, Portugal
- Porto Seguro, Brazil
- Gramado, Brazil
- Lombok, Indonesia
- Da Nang, Vietnam
- Zakynthos, Greece
- Tel Aviv, Israel
- Krakow, Poland
