Breaking news- There is a new confirmed case of the novel Coronavirus COVID-19 in Greece, bringing the total number of people infected to eight.
The latest case involves a man who is related to a previously confirmed case that remains in an isolation unit in a hospital in Thessaloniki.
The case was diagnosed by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School’s Microbiology Laboratory.
So far, all Greek cases have reported mild symptoms.
The Health Ministry's spokesperson Dimitris Tsiodras has once again urged everyone to abide by the rules of personal hygiene but also to protect vulnerable groups of the population: the elderly and people with chronic cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.
