Turkey will no longer allow migrants to cross the Aegean sea to Greece because it is unsafe, the coastguard has said.

This 'new order' comes a week after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced he was "opening the doors" for refugees to enter Europe, amid tensions over the Syrian conflict.

His actions resulted in over 40,000 illegal migrants to head towards the Greek border.

The latest surveillance vision from Saturday night showed a Turkish military vehicle with a rope attached to it, trying to pull down the Greek border fence.
