Nightlife Shutdown in Greece

Athens nightlife has come to a standstill with clubs announcing a 2 week closure due to Coronavirus concerns.

Following the advice of the Health Minister in relation to the COVID-19 coronavirus, all precautionary measures are being taken.

Back to back press releases and official announcements via official social media outlets were made advising of the shutdown, including Nikos Vertis and Anna Vissi and more.

ESTATE – Rouvas-Rocco-Paparizou announced the completion of their popular long running show.

“After 6 months of tremendous success, ESTATE is in the uncomfortable position of completing the program for preventative reasons. By participating in the effort to limit the spread of coronavirus. Thank you very much.”

YTON’s post announced their closure with a break for the next 2 weeks of performances and stressed the belief in the power of the soul, patience and positive thinking.

ENASTRON - Gabri-Sabanis-Demy

The club advised they were taking precautionary measures aiming to limit the spread of coronavirus and explained the decision that the club will remain closed until further notice, was made according to the recommendations of special experts. The announcement added that the staff and artists of the venue thank everyone for their understanding and support, and also sent their well wishes to those affected by the virus.

Kaiti Garbi personally posted a message announcement on her Instagram account.

Well done to all the entrepreneurs and artists for their proactiveness and quick actioning. No doubt there’ll be many more following suit.

We hope this will all be over soon and all will resume ‘back to business’ and back to enjoying Greek nightlife!
