According to a news report from Associated Press, a coronavirus trial vaccine will be tested on a group of 45 young, healthy volunteers in the USA as advised by a government official.

The government official says the news report, spoke about the trial plans on the conditions of anonymity ‘because the move has not been publicly announced.’

The vaccine was co-developed by National Institutes of Health and Moderna Inc. with the same report clarifying that Public health officials have suggested that the whole process of testing and validating any vaccine will most likely take anywhere between 12 to 18 months.

Meanwhile in Australia, a team of Australian researchers say they’ve found a cure for the novel coronavirus.

Professor David Paterson, director at The University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research told news.com.au that they have seen two drugs used to treat other conditions wipe out the virus in test tubes.

The next step is a large clinical trial across Australia, which the researchers hope can begin by the end of the month.

It must be noted that nearly 50% of people infected from the virus eventually had a full recovery.
