Authorities on the island of Lesvos on Monday announced the discovery of the body of a child about six-years-old found dead in the ashes of a fire that broke out in the Moria Reception and Identification Centre (RIC).
Minister of Migration and Asylum Notis Mitarachi expressed his profound sorrow on social media over the loss of a six-year-old child in the fire at the Moria hotspot.
"I was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic event of the loss of a six-year-old child following a fire that broke out at the reception and identification facility at Moria. I want to express my sincere condolences to his family," the Minister wrote on Twitter.
