The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Greece has risen to 387, according to the latest update from Health Ministry spokesperson and infectious diseases expert Professor Sotiris Tsiodras.
There were 35 new cases since Monday.
Another person has also died from the deadly virus, bringing the total number of casualties to 5 since the virus hit Greece.
In addition, 14 people who were hospitalised with the virus have been discharged, Tsiodras announced.
Of the 387 patients, 70 are hospitalised and 11 are on life support systems in Athens, Patras and Thessaloniki.
60 of the cases have no travel history or relationship with a confirmed case.
Greece has adopted precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. This includes:
– staying at home
– avoiding meetings
– grandparents not looking after their grandchildren
– those who have symptoms to communicate with their doctor for instructions
