Amir introduced himself to the French public with his participation in the third round of the local 'The Voice' in 2014. He became widely known when he represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, held in Stockholm Sweden, finishing in 6th place final with the song 'J'ai Cherché'.

Lyrics:

Si on n’aime qu’une fois

J’ai déjà dépensé tous mes battements de cœur, mes pensées

Lyrics Translation:

I can’t reinvent myself anymore
Since you planted
Seeds of absence in me

Each moonbeam seems to disembowel me
I hope you go back
why am i not sleeping?

Everything tires me
Alone I sail
Survived on your island
I wait for the storm to take away the exile

If we were allowed to be reborn
I will love you in every life

If we only love once
I've already spent all my heartbeats, my thoughts
We spoke with one voice
My cries of love are silent, my horizon is walled

I think of you 24 hours a day seven days a week
I have pieces of you strewn by the hundreds
And I burn with love for you
I'll melt a hundred and ten times I say to myself in your fire

Look at my eyes how they're crying (for you)
Since the time you left, i'm trying to live (without you)
And I see nightmares every night
That you say that nothing was ever enough

All the words of our love
Now they're gone and don't exist anymore
In our heart

Without you I don't want to live
By myself I cant ever again

You should know I love you
I love you more than my life and put it in your head that
I can't be ever alone again
I'm used to you and that can never change

If I had two lives I would want to live them with you
If I had three lives it still wouldn't be enough

The word I Love You maybe is small
In front of those things I feel

If we only love once
I've already spent all my heartbeats, my thoughts

You should know I Love You
I'm used to you and that can never change ever again

I think of you 24 hours a day seven days a week
I have pieces of you strewn by the hundreds

The word I Love You maybe is small
In front of those things I feel
