Greece’s Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will be participating in the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) on Monday, 23 March via teleconference, from Athens.
The EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting will focus on developments related to Covid-19 pandemic, with emphasis on coordinating efforts to repatriate European citizens, cooperation on dealing with the repercussions of the virus, and consideration of the geopolitical implications of the pandemic.
Also to be discussed are developments regarding the migration pressure on the Greek-Turkish border and implementation of the EU-Turkey Statement of March 2016, the situation in Libya and preparations for setting up the new EU operation for monitoring the arms embargo, and the strategic review of the European Union Training Mission (EUTM) in Mali.
