Albanian nationals are the largest group in Greece to be granted Greek citizenship according to the latest data from Eurostat.
Some 24, 203 Albanians were granted Greek citizenship in 2018, followed by 388 Ukrainians and 353 Russians as the second and third largest groups respectively.
Interestingly in Cyprus, British nationals were the largest group to be granted citizenship with 658 applications approved, followed by 628 Russian and 369 Greek nationals.
