Greece’s Digital Ministry has announced more than 11,000 health care volunteers have signed up to offer their services during the fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

The voluntary programme is aimed at anyone who can provide assistance, such as: doctors, nurses, paramedics, psychologists, medical students, but also retirees from the health sciences.

Anyone who wishes to make a contribution to this effort can also participate by providing administrative, technical and any other support to the health system regardless of their qualifications. Volunteers will be able to register by filling in their registration form.

At the same time, more than 130 businesses have signed up for digitalsolidarity.gov.gr, offering their services free of charge or at a lower cost.

The digitalsolidarity.gov.gr platform was designed and implemented by the General Secretariat of Digital Governance and relates to services and products that facilitate remote working, education and entertainment.
