Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece has been admitted to the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center.
His Eminence is scheduled to have a pacemaker inserted, following the recommendation of treating doctors, according to an announcement by the Archdiocese of Athens.
Update: Archbishop Ieronymos has been discharged from hospital, a day after he had a pacemaker installed.
The procedure was done using local anesthesia and His Eminence is “in excellent health."
