Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece undergoes surgery


Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece has been admitted to the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center.

His Eminence is scheduled to have a pacemaker inserted, following the recommendation of treating doctors, according to an announcement by the Archdiocese of Athens.

Update: Archbishop Ieronymos has been discharged from hospital, a day after he had a pacemaker installed.

The procedure was done using local anesthesia and His Eminence is “in excellent health.”
