Confirmed coronavirus cases in Greece reach 1,832

According to the latest data, Greece is ranked 47th in the world regarding the number of diagnosed coronavirus (Covid-19) cases, which currently stands at 1,832.

Health Ministry spokesperson and infectious diseases expert Professor Sotiris Tsiodras at the daily briefing noted that of the total number of cases, 501 infections relate to travelling abroad and 679 relate to people infected within Greece.

In the last 24 hours, there have been 2 more fatalities, bringing the death toll to 81.

Some 90 patients are being treated in Intensive Care Units and more than half of these suffer from underlying health issues. A total of 10 people have so far been discharged from ICUs.

A total of 28,584 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in Greece.
