His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America led the first in a series of daily prayers for the faithful of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America who have either passed away or are suffering from complications related to coronavirus (Covid-19).
The service, conducted in the Chapel of Saint Paul at the Archdiocesan Headquarters in New York City, was streamed live.
On Tuesday, His Eminence asked the faithful online to submit names of departed faithful and of those who are in need of healing from the devastating impact of Covid-19.
“These prayers will continue to be read daily and live streamed to the faithful for the duration of this pandemic crisis,” the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America announced.
