As the global coronavirus pandemic continues, The 'Greek Freak', NBA’s MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has sent a massive thank you to all the healthcare workers fighting the deadly virus.

His post on Twitter comes after the Mayor of Zografou, Vassilis Thodas announced that the Antetokounmpo family have donated 10,000 surgical masks for the coronavirus pandemic to Zografou, the suburb east of Athens where he started playing basketball.

"As a family we feel the need to thank all our young heroes, doctors, nurses, all those who risk their health, to return as soon as possible to our normalcy and the people we love," Giannis tweeted.

"Know that you give us strength and that this act of self-sacrifice is a precious dowry that will accompany us forever. Friends, let us do our duty, we stay home to make the work of our heroes easier. Good strength to all! With love, the Antetokounmpo family," his second tweet reads.

The mother of his child, Mariah Riddlesprigger also posted on Twitter, which Giannis retweeted.
