Police will be using drones to make sure that Greeks do not defy the lockdown on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday.
Normally, Easter celebrations involve a week of church services followed by large family gatherings, however this year will be different because of the Covid-19 restrictions.
Large family gatherings jeopardise the risk of coronavirus spreading and could undo the benefits of the lockdown.
Where the lockdown measures aren't observed, fines will be imposed.
On Friday's coronavirus briefing, Greece's Health Ministry's coronavirus spokesman and infectious diseases professor, Sotiris Tsiodras announced 17 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Greece in the last 24 hours, and 3 new deaths.
The total Covid-19 infections in Greece stands at 2,224.
Deaths total 108 since the start of the outbreak, of whom 29 were women. Of the 108, the majority had underlying health issues and their average age was over 74 years old.
Some 71 patients are being treated in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). The average age of these patients is 67 years.
It must be noted, Tsiodras added, that 35 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
