"So, from our balconies or windows, the residents of Athens – and not only – will be able to all enjoy the Resurrection message, the radiance and the light of optimism for tomorrow," the Municipality of Athens said in an announcement.
Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis posted a video of the illuminated sky and stated "Η Αθήνα θα έχει το βλέμμα πάντα ψηλά! Χριστός Ανέστη!" (Athens will always look up! Christ is risen!)
