Lockdown broken in Kordelio, Thessaloniki with a Pontian Glendi (VIDEO)

Despite measures to ban non-essential traffic and gatherings, some have decided to break the rules.

In the suburb of Kordelio in Thessaloniki, neighbours broke quarantine and set up a regular Pontian Glendi.

Of course the need for people to be with their loved ones is of high importance during Easter, but given the global pandemic, strict measures were implemented to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

As seen in the video, some had the opposite idea. Holding hands and forming a circle, they danced in the middle of the street, to the applause of their neighbours from surrounding balconies.
