Sipping on a cocktail while enjoying a gold-covered steak may be possible this summer at Nusr-Et Steakhouse Mykonos, within the “new normality” of life post-coronavirus lockdown.
According to reports, Internet sensation Salt Bae, the owner of Nusr-Et, is determined to open his luxury restaurant in Mykonos even with limited staff, if the conditions are favourable, in July and August.
Additionally, three major hotels on the island are expected to be closed for the summer, following a ‘storm’ of cancellations and the uncertainty of the pandemic. After analysing figures, the owners of the hotels considered the operation of their businesses unprofitable due to the high costs, but also took into account the possibility of an outbreak in their hotels in the heart of the tourist season.
Rumours are circulating that large beach bars will slowly open from July 1 onwards, with less staff, frequent coronavirus tests on workers and a limited number of sunbeds.
