US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt on Thursday conveyed to Alternate Minister of Migration & Asylum Giorgos Koumoutsakos the State Department's decision to offer Greece additional humanitarian aid.
As announced by the State Department on Wednesday, the United States will allocate $2.35 million for refugees and migrants in Greece, in view of additional needs caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
A ministry announcement noted that this latest aid comes on top of the 600,000 dollars of US aid announced for Greece on April 17.
