GoFundMe page set up to repatriate Kevin Kourtis' body to Cyprus

Greek Australian Kevin Kourtis, aged 39, was stabbed to death in his Langston Street home in Riverstone, Sydney, Australia, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A group of at least five people allegedly ambushed Kevin Kourtis, stabbed him multiple times then fled the scene, witnesses told police.

Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, were were arrested a few streets away from the Langton Street homes.

The pair, who are not believed to be co-operating with investigators, were charged with murder. The appeared at Parramatta Children’s Court on Monday and were formally refused bail. They are due to appear again in July.

Police are still on the hunt for the other three alleged attackers.

The cousin of the deceased, Jodie Kourtis started a GoFundMe page to repatriate his remains back to Cyprus.

"Kevin moved back to Australia 8 years ago for a better life and started his own concreting business. Kevin was hard working and was kind hearted, He would give you his last dollar if you needed it.  He didn't deserved such a tragic ending to his life," the GoFundMe page states.

"The Kourtis family want to return Kevin to his home and his rightful place in Cyprus. The go fund me page is for friends and family which can't attend the funeral," it concluded.

The target for the GoFundMe page is $10,000.
