A 50-year-old woman was killed after being struck by lightning during a storm on the island of Skopelos on Tuesday, police said.
The incident occurred in the morning when the woman of Bulgarian origin, had just stopped doing farm work with her partner when a downpour began. They were heading back to the main town, Chora, when she was struck down.
The woman died immediately in front of her partner, who was two metres away from her.
Her body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
