Greece's coronavirus death toll reaches 177

The Health Ministry reported the death of two patients from coronavirus on Sunday night, following nearly three days without any fatalities.

The total number of confirmed infections since the start of the outbreak stands at 2,917, while the number of deaths is at 177.

Sunday’s first victim was a 66-year-old woman who was being treated at Athens Sotiria Hospital, who also suffered from underlying health problems which contributed to her death.

A few hours later, an 87-year-old died at the NIMTS navy hospital, also in Athens. He too had underlying health problems, according to reports.
