Greece reduces ferry prices in bid to attract tourists to islands

The ships are sailing again, but with new regulations and safety protocols including social distancing.

As taxes on ferries was reduced from 24% to 13%, with the measure remaining in force until October 31, ferry prices are now cheaper.

According to the new reduction in taxes, ticket prices for two adult passengers with a car on the Piraeus-Rhodes route, is now €233.5 instead of €245.5. The individual ticket is now €61.5, down from €67.5.

On the Piraeus-Syros line, two adults with a car will now cost €141.5 from the previous €147.5, while the individual ticket in the economy class is set at €61.5 from the previous €67.5.

On the Piraeus-Mytilene line, two adults with a car will cost €185 from the previous €206, while the individual ticket in economy is now set at €43.5 from the previous €51.5.

On the Piraeus-Heraklion line, two adults with a car will now cost €122 from the previous €155, while the individual ticket in economy amounts to €28 from €31.

On the Piraeus-Serifos line, two people with a car will pay €113.50 now from €118.50 it was previously. The individual ticket on the same line is set at €28.50 from the previous €31.

On the Piraeus-Sifnos line, two people with a car will now pay €124.50 from €129.50, while an individual ticket on the same line is set at €33.50 from the previous €36.

On the Piraeus-Milos line, two adults with a car will now pay €133.50 from €139.50, while the individual ticket is set at €39.50 from the previous price of €36.50.

Children between the ages of 5-10, pay half the ticket.

It is noted that all the shipping companies in the context of their policy are making discounts on passengers and vehicles this summer as well.
