By 4 years ago

Thermal imaging cameras, which can be used to automatically scan multiple individual body temperatures at the same time, will be used as of Friday at the two main railway stations in Athens and Thessaloniki, according to Italian-owned railway operator Trainose.

The thermal cameras which have been placed at the entrance to the platforms at Larissis station in Athens and at Neos Stathmos (New Station) in Thessaloniki, are an additional precautionary measure against the spread of the coronavirus and for the protection of passengers and staff.

Trainose said that it will abide fully both with privacy laws and with the hygiene regulations that have been announced by Greek authorities as part of ongoing efforts to curb the spread of the virus.
