Pakistani allegedly sexually assaulted 83-year-old woman in Preveza

The medical examiner’s conclusion is expected soon on whether an 83-year-old woman was raped after she was found half-naked.

The elderly woman is in a critical condition in Ioannina hospital in northwest Greece.

Within a few hours, the perpetrator of the unprecedented torture and alleged rape, was caught by the police.

According to information, the accused is a Pakistani who had a working relationship with the woman. There was no evidence of a burglary.

The Pakistani was among those charged when the serious incident was revealed and he is said to have confessed. However, the reason for the beating of the 83-year-old has not yet been revealed.

The elderly woman is being treated at a hospital in Ioannina with severe injuries, while the medical examiner’s conclusion is expected as to whether she was raped, as the 83-year-old was found naked from the waist down.

When the case is completed, the perpetrator of the attack will be taken to the prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Preveza, at least on the charge of attempted murder.

The crime was revealed because the unfortunate old woman did not answer the phone and her relatives became worried. So, they went to her house where they found her in a terrible condition on the bed, with serious head and body injuries.

Initially, the 83-year-old was taken to a hospital in Preveza, but her condition was considered very serious and she was admitted to a hospital in Ioannina, the capital city of Epirus.

The 40-year-old Pakistani, who will be taken to the prosecutor’s office in the afternoon, had previously been involved in drug-related crimes and was released on strict conditions.
