Katerina's Bar in Mykonos among world’s best

By 4 years ago

Nothing beats a cool, refreshing drink with a view.

A list of the best bars in the world was compiled by editors of the leading British 'Guardian' newspaper, based on their travel experiences.

And of course, a Greek bar, located in cosmopolitan Mykonos, was featured on the list.

If you want a great view of the sea, tasty food, chilled atmosphere and just so much fun, 'Katerina's Bar' is the place to be.

In 1991, Katerina Xidaki decided to transform her family house into a restaurant and cocktail bar. Having the big advantage of the spectacular view of Little Venice, the two storey building was transformed.

Warning- You have to book a table in advance, as this spot is so popular! Sitting there eating your food and watching the sun go down is one of the best experiences you will have in Mykonos.

"Katerina’s is perfectly located in Mykonos Town, in the area known as Little Venice. The area gets crowded, especially at night, but before sunset is the best time to be at the bar. We had a balcony seat overlooking the sea and the windmills. The cocktails are a bit pricy, but worth it, and if you don’t drink alcohol, like me, you can just order a mocktail. It was such a beautiful sunset," the Guardian states.

This place is truly a hidden gem.
