Qatar Sheikh US$300 million superyacht arrives in Skiathos

The multi-million dollar cruiser, ‘Al Mirqab dropped anchor in the bay of Maratha, on the island of Skiathos.

Considered one of the most beautiful yachts by Forbes magazine in 2008, it belongs to one of the richest men in the world, Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who again chose Skiathos for a holiday.

According to reports, all the necessary health and safety measures have been taken on the yacht and the 50 crew members were tested for Covid-19 before it sailed into the clear blue waters of the Aegean sea. The ‘floating palace’ is the 6th largest yacht in the world. It has 12 suites, two pools, a helipad, gymnasium, Jacuzzi and a movie theatre. The interior of the vessel is fitted with handcrafted furniture, while the works of famous painters like Picasso and Van Gong feature on its walls.
