Greece’s Full Moon Festival 2020

Anyone lucky enough to be in Greece at the moment, must enjoy the August Full Moon events.

On August 3, seventy-seven archaeological sites, monuments and museums across Greece will host free cultural events.

This includes free admission to concerts, theatrical performances, dance performances, poetic recitations, documentary screenings, art exhibitions and stargazing events.

The events and the visit of the public to the archeological sites and museums will be carried out in accordance with the applicable security protocols that have been drawn up for each archaeological site and museum in the context of limiting the spread of covid-19 and in accordance with the applicable security measures during their implementation.

The events which are celebrated annually since 2002, attract more and more visitors every year.

In 2019, Greece's archaeological sites, museums and monuments welcomed over 60,000 visitors.
